Community Sports Hubs
The “Prevention & Engagement” Layer
Overview: Sport holds a unique ability to positively shape lives. Our hubs provide a free, safe, and supportive environment every night of the week.
Who is this for? Open access for all young people (Ages 7–25).
Key Features:
Safe Sanctuary: Open evenings to provide alternatives to isolation and anti-social behaviour.
No Barriers: “Just turn up and register” policy.
Locations: Moss Side Powerhouse, A6 Centre Ardwick (MMA & Gym), MCR Regional Arena (Athletics), and Ardwick Sports Hall .
Sport & Education Interventions
The “Early Intervention” Layer (School-Based)
Overview: Delivered within schools, these sessions combine classroom learning with practical tasks and physical activities. We intentionally work with small groups (up to 10 students) to deliver personalised support.
Who is this for? Students with low confidence, SEMH needs, SEND, or those at risk of exclusion.
Key Features:
Integrated Learning: Helps students see how skills apply beyond school.
Curriculum Aligned: Can be tailored to school priorities and the national curriculum.
Staffing: Delivered by two members of staff per session to ensure close support.
Specialist 1:1 Mentoring
The “High Support” Layer
Overview: Tailored, one-to-one mentoring for young people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, or are at risk of entering the criminal justice system.
Who is this for? Referral only (Ages 8 – 18, or up to 25 with SEND)
Key Features:
SEMH Focus: Weekly sessions focusing on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health.
Goal Setting: Personalised tracking of progress.
Specialist Access: Referrals to partners such as 42nd Street (mental health services) where needed.
Alternative Provision
The “Education Replacement” Layer
Overview: An alternative education provision dedicated to supporting young people who thrive outside mainstream settings. We provide a nurturing environment focused on personal development and academic progress.
Who is this for? Learners unable to access mainstream school.
Key Features:
Therapeutic Curriculum: Guided by qualified teachers and youth workers.
Structure: Sessions run 11am – 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Monitoring: Weekly reports and termly reviews to track strengths and developments.
Accredited Qualifications
The “Employability” Layer
Overview: We deliver accredited qualifications in key life skills and employability to enhance future prospects. These are flexible and can be adapted to individual needs.
Offerings include:
AQA Unit Award Scheme: Over 55 qualifications awarded this year.
Life Skills: Workshops in personal finance, budgeting, cooking, and Daily Living Skills.
Employability: CV writing, preparing for interviews, and identifying career paths.
Sports Leadership: Qualifications in community coaching and First Aid.

Target: Years 3–6 (Groups of 20–60 children)
Format: 1 weekly session (2 hours) x 36-week programme
Staffing: 2 Members of staff
Curriculum: Aligned to the national curriculum with qualifications available

Format: 1 weekly session (2 hours) x 36-week programme

Alternative
Provision
Target: Primary & Secondary (Years 3–11) thriving outside mainstream settings
Format: 11am – 2pm, Monday – Friday
Includes: Therapeutic curriculum, weekly reports, termly reviews, and strengths monitoring
Cost: £140 per day (Example: £8,400 for 5 sessions/week across a 12-week term)
1:1 Mentoring
Target: High-needs support (Social, Emotional, Mental Health)
Format: 20-week programme of intensive support
Includes: Weekly 1:1 sessions, bespoke framework, close monitoring of outcomes, and access to specialist services
Cost: £2,700
Accredited Qualifications
Format: Flexible (3-hour workshops to 6-week courses)
Topics: Personal finance, CV writing, cooking, First Aid, sports leadership
Cost: £800 – £1,600 (Typical price for 10 students). Pre-entry to Level 2 available.

Employability: We qualified 8 young people as Sports Leaders, with 6 securing paid work as junior coaches.

We welcome volunteers to support our community hubs and events. All volunteers receive induction training, safeguarding clearance, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals.
